Today's Palm Beach Post Says "Boynton’s Art District glimmers with fall colors!"

The Boynton Beach Art District, located at 410 W. Industrial Ave., just west of Interstate 95, has 11 working artists who occupy 11 industrial warehouse studios.
A wide variety of artists make their home in the district, including kinetic artists, graffiti artists, tattoo artists, metal sculptors, muralists, stone carvers, painters, performance artists and musicians.
The art district’s vibrant leader, Rolando Barrero, a Miami native with Cuban roots, says when he first moved to Boynton Beach, the industrial space where the district now thrives was laden with crime.
But now the district is an alternative contemporary art scene brimming with life that sponsors open mic nights, monthly art walks, exhibitions and special events.
The murals pictured are part of an outdoor exhibition called the ActivistArtistA Bay Gates Project curated by Barrero in conjunction with the Palm Beach County Cultural Council’s #ShadesOfCulture
Campaign.

Looking Back at GOLDEN Fest's Fifth Year Celebration

Today in the "I Support Street Art"  Rolando Chang Barrero's ActivistArtistA Gallery gets Featured for Outdoor Gallery Exhibition during his annual Golden Celebration at
The Boynton Beach Art District

Live painting, live music and much more were enjoyed by hundreds at this year’s GOLDEN Fest at the Boynton Beach Arts District. The outdoor exhibit titled “Portraits #ShadesofCulture Murals, hosted by Rolando Chang Barrero‘s ActivistArtistA, showcased eleven new murals for this year’s event while three musicians performed.
Art lovers from all over Florida gathered for the good vibes and better food, capturing photos of the artists adding their finishing touches to their mural. The theme this year was iconic figures in art– from painters such as Salvador Dali and Harlem Renaissance sculptor Augusta Savage, and authors like Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Georgia O’Keeffe. -Vivid Arts

GOLDEN CELEBRATION OCTOBER 9, 2016

410-422 West Industrial Ave., Boynton Beach, Florida 33426

Thank you Lori Durante for the marvelous job on Thursday, August 25th.

This tour was a site inspection for Access Destination which is a national conference organizer with an office in Southern Florida.

Access is considering each place visited for possible separate group reservations so it was an exceptional networking opportunity for all. All the places on the tour were new to most of them.  Access was truly enlightened by the Taste History Tour.

Here's the link for the Facebook album:
